Joan Petit is Instruction and Reference Librarian at the American University in Cairo, Egypt. She received her MSLS and BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MA in English from Western Carolina University, both in the United States. She worked at UNC and Duke University Libraries before jetting across the ocean to Egypt, where she’s lived and worked since August 2007. Joan has addressed professional audiences in the US and Egypt.
