As an integration specialist with a background in educational science and pedagogy, I have obtained a great deal of experience and insight into the social and cultural relations that make up the basis of human development, within my field of expertise.Within the past years I have succeeded in putting Roskilde Libraries on the map within the field of integration, by developing new projects and acitivities supporting the massive need for integration activities that include refugees and migrants in new cultural, social and learning communities.The basis of my work has been to to bring together municipal and community stakeholders in working towards common goals. My latest project, which I wish to share at the ILI conference is Called a Million Stories, which is a digital storytelling project that shares the experiences of over 600 refugees across four European countries, with a worldwide audience. The aim of the project is to promote intercultural understanding by giving refugees a platform from which to share their experiences, and thereby creating references to the everyday lives of the european public.
