ILI's call for speakers has now closed, but we'd still love to hear your ideas. Contact us here if you'd like to discuss submitting your story.

Theme - Strategies, solutions, stories, and strength

Internet Librarian International (ILI) celebrates innovation. Every year, hundreds of library and information professionals from around the world come together at ILI to exchange ideas, knowledge and experience.

Our focus is on real-world innovations, big or small. We want to hear how you are making a difference to your organisation, clients and communities, whether that's through case studies, great stories, personal experiences and lessons learned from the ideas, strategies and practical implementations you’ve put in place.

Our speakers come from all over the world - from academic and research libraries, public libraries, school libraries, corporate settings and more - to share their real-world projects, initiatives and transformations. Mostly they do this by presenting a 15-minute case study.

Here are some some topics and themes to get you excited – from AI and big data to zero cost projects - but don’t be limited by this list: we also have a wildcard option!

  • AI and big data
  • Apps, tools and tech
  • Coaching, learning, teaching
  • Creative communities, networks and partnerships
  • Content design and creation
  • Data management
  • Design thinking
  • Digital scholarship
  • Future proofing, visions and missions
  • Influencing and advocacy
  • Information law, information security, information risk
  • Magical marketing and engagement
  • Manic metadata
  • Resilience and sustainability
  • Search, curate, share
  • Social inclusion and equality
  • Teams, roles and structures – redesign and redefine
  • Understanding users and UX
  • VR and AR
  • Zero cost projects
  • Wildcard – we’re really interested in hearing about your creative projects and initiatives. Tell us what you’ve been up to!

We'll be in touch at the end of May. Please note the primary speaker will receive a complimentary registration to the two day ILI conference (including lunches, coffee breaks and a drinks reception). Additional speakers receive a 40% discount on conference registration.
