Kerry Murray
Locality Manager
Norfolk Library & Information Service, UK

I became Locality Manager for King's Lynn, West and North Norfolk Libraries about a year ago.  Prior to that I was a library manager working in King's Lynn library - a deprived area.
I am passionate about libraries, that literacy skills can help people become socially mobile and are vital to people's wellbeing.
I am lead on Norfolk Library and Information Services project to reduce social isolation.  Through this project, over the last 14 months, I have increased the regular activities held in Norfolk libraries from 52 to 154.  I have collected many impact stories where customers have shared with us the importance of libraries to them and how coming along to the library has increased their confidence, mental health, helped them to make friends and feel less lonely.
Outside of work I love to walk my dog and climb mountains last year scaling Snowdon, Scarfell Pike and Ben Nevis.
