Claire Sewell is Research Support Skills Coordinator in the Office of Scholarly Communication in Cambridge where she oversees the professional development of library staff. Focusing on the rapidly developing area of scholarly communication Claire develops training initiatives in order to ensure that library staff are best placed to support the research community. Claire received her MSc in Library and Information Studies from the University of Aberystwyth in 2013 and achieved CILIP Chartership in 2014. She is active in the information profession, serving as Social Media Manager for the CILIP Cataloguing and Indexing Group and Candidate Support Officer for CILIP East. She also sits on the Editorial Board of the New Review of Academic Librarianship and is a member of the SLA Europe Board.
